About Metal Slug 2

Metal Slug 2 (1998) expanded everything the first game started. Two new heroes, Eri Kasamoto and Fio Germi, join Marco and Tarma, and the war against General Morden takes a strange turn: deep in the deserts and cities you meet mummies, aliens from Mars and more of the series' trademark weirdness.

New vehicles appear – including the Camel Slug and the Slug Flyer – and new transformations, like turning into a mummy when you are hit by a mummy's curse, or getting fat when you eat too much food (which makes your shots bigger but your movement slower).

Weapons

The classic H, R, F and S weapons return, joined by the L – Laser, a beam that cuts through rows of enemies.

Known issue: slowdown

Metal Slug 2 is famous for slowing down when the screen gets busy. Some players love it – it gives you time to react – but if you want the smoother version, play its remix, Metal Slug X.

Tips

Use the Camel Slug's cannon on enemies above you; it can aim up and down.
If you turn into a mummy, find a medicine item quickly to change back.
Save lasers for bosses – they melt through armor.
