About The Last Blade
The Last Blade (1997) – Bakumatsu Roman: Gekka no Kenshi in Japan – is one of the most beautiful fighting games SNK ever made. It is set at the end of the Edo period, when the samurai era was fading, and follows the young swordsman Kaede as he searches for the truth about his master's death. The story, the music and the painterly backgrounds give it a melancholy mood unlike any other fighter.
The fighters
The cast includes Kaede, the hero who awakens the power of Seiryu; his cold rival Moriya Minakata; the gentle Yuki; the young exorcist Akari Ichijou; and many more, with Kagami Shinnosuke as the final boss.
